Calendar
Hijri calendar is the official calendar in Saudi Arabia, and it refers to the migration of the prophet Mohammed from Mecca to Madina and that was in 622 A.C. The Hijri year is divided into 12 month and each month is divided into 28 to 30 days. The Hijri calendar is approximately 10 days less than the Gregorian calendar.

A Weekday in Saudi Arabia runs from Saturday through Wednesday in the government sector, where in some private sector companies Thursday’s would be included.

Government Sector: 7:30 am till 2:30 pm Banks 8:30 am till 4:30 pm Private sector companies: 8:00 am to 06:00 pm, with an hour lunch break in between Retail stores: 10:00 am to 12:00 noon and then from 4:00 pm to 10pm Saturday though Wednesday, on Friday it is from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm
